Why can't concerts like this happen in my area?

Sounds like a great show. It's hard to imagine spending $1,000 on a concert ticket, although the money was going for a great cause.
Pearl Jam actually played the Greensboro Coliseum in 2000 - it was a great show. I think they'll be on tour next year so who knows? Maybe they will come back.
