Here's a look at some of this week's new releases:
Big $ Rich "Comin' to your City" - I don't like country. I watch ESPN. I don't understand these guys...
Bowling for Soup "Goes to the Movies!" - It's an album of covers of TV themes, original songs and a cover of Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time." Do people actually wait to buy this one?
Jimmy Buffett "Live at Fenway Park" - If he's smart, he'll leave out the country songs.
Mariah Carey "The Emancipation of Mimi - Platinum Deluxe Edition" - If you bought the original, you'll be annoyed that she's re-releasing it with a few new songs. (That is, if you liked it the first time.)
Elton John "Peachtree Road: Collector's Edition" - See Mariah Carey, above.
Madonna "Confessions on a Dancefloor" - If the confessions include reasons she regrets starring in "Swept Away," people will line up.
Moody Blues "Lovely to See You, Live" - My "What year is this?" for this week.
Spongebob Square Pants "The Yellow Album" - It's CDs like this one that make me wonder why I'm not a millionaire in the music business. If Spongebob can make an album...
Carrie Underwood "Some Hearts" - She's a little bit country...
As always, the band's with animal-related names releasing albums this week (nonstop since July 20) - Calico System, Pitbull, Snapper and Mad Glock Click,
