Apparently, Foxy Brown is deaf.
The strangest part of the story is not that she's deaf, but that "she refused to discuss the possible cause of the problem."
Why? Unless you wanted to know what happened if you jabbed yourself in the head with a q-tip - on both sides - and that was the cause, why not talk about how it happened?

Some diseases -- such as measles, if I recall correctly -- can cause deafness, either in adults or in children in utero. Perhaps that's what's up -- not that there's anything particularly embarrassing, but that she just doesn't want the whole world to know every last bit of her medical history.
Or maybe one of the EMBARRASSING diseases can cause deafness.
I don't know.
