It's pretty much impossible to review last night's show, but here are some highlights:
- U2 was joined by Mary J. Blige for an outstanding rendition of "One."
- Paul McCartney's "Helter Skelter" wasn't great, but "Yesterday" with Linkin Park and Jay-Z was fantastic. A big surprise that actually worked well.
- Sly Stone's return. Too short, but amazing all the same. A well-done tribute to the funk icon.
- Slipknot and System of a Down won awards...
- Too much attitude and arrogance from Kanye West. And, um, Kanye, you're inside...take the sunglasses off.
