Eddie Van Halen has announced that his son, Wolfgang, will be the replacement for Michael Anthony in Van Halen.
Few details are available about why Anthony left the band.
Wolfgang showed up during Van Halen's last tour at a few stops to play guitar solos. Apparently, he's definitely his "father's son" and shreds on the guitar.
I assume his bass playing is up to par too.
As far as a singer - no word on who will handle those duties during a rumored 2007 tour, but David Lee Roth's name is always dropped.
