"I'm From Rolling Stone" Week 1 (Part 1)

Tonight was the premiere of "I'm From Rolling Stone" on MTV. The show follows a few interns as they vie for a position as a writer for the famous music magazine.

As someone who would love to write for Rolling Stone, I was curious to see what the show was like.

I only could get through the first 10 minutes though...

When editor Jann Wenner calls 23-year-old Krishtine, her answer is "For reals?" (Since when did words like real and hell get an 's' added on to them?)

Another contestant, Russell (the favorite), tells Wenner, "Later, skater."

Ugh...

I know it's a music magazine, but some professionalism is called for when you're offered the chance of a lifetime - one that other people would kill for.

Maybe when the show replays on Tuesday night, I'll give it another chance.

For now, as a journalist, I'm disappointed.

Coming Soon

I'm sad to say the Musical Garbage Can will be leaving GoTriad on or about March 23. It will go back to its original home at Blogspot here. Thank you for your continued support!
