I just finished a 30-minute interview with Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead/Rat Dog.
Aside from being an honor to speak with him, it was a fascinating conversation.
He talked about the creation of setlists, the Dead receiving a lifetime Grammy recently, writing new music, politics and more.
Two of the more interesting tidbits - his experiences on Shakedown Street where he would often go in costume to avoid being recognized and a story of performing in Egypt surrounded by thousands of mosquitos, bats and bedouins with rifles.
Now I'll have to cut down 30 minutes of conversation into a story short enough for print... it won't be easy.
