Back to the Garden
This "Lost World" is awesome.
"It's as close to the Garden of Eden as anything you're going to find on Earth," a Conservation International official gushed.
Here's a map of West Papua, part of the Indonesian province of Irian Jaya.
So, what will the government of Indonesia do with it?
Go away and leave it like it is?
Or explore for oil, gas and other natural resources?
I have a feeling this place won't be lost again.
Remember what happened to the original Garden of Eden.

Good place and good article. I read about this in the Australian, yesterday. They had the same questions. What will become of the "Garden".

I was dismayed that the location of this 'lost' paradise was made public. I can just see it being turned into a tourist attraction. How sad!

Actually Brenda, this is a fairly dangerous area for "common folk" to go. One might be eaten or find their head on a pole. Hopefully the fear of this will keep the touristee's away.
