Talking about Terry
Joe White, chairman of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board, has been getting a lot of critical messages from people in Guilford County about Terry Grier.
Same thing for the other two finalists for the C-M superintendent job.
How much effect will the bad reviews have on his thinking?
"I'm at a stage in my life where I don't have a lot of attention to pay to negative people," White told me this afternoon.
I'm still trying to figure out why people here who say they want to get rid of Grier are so eager to torpedo his chances in Charlotte-Meck.

"Negative people."
Now those two words just about sums up this sad episode.
I forecast, if he does leave, the "negative people's" lives will become listless now that they don't have Dr. Grier to kick around. I believe that deep down in their hearts they want him to stay because they really enjoy complaining at the expense of an educational system that's suitable to all of us.

I can guarantee you that the High Point fans are saying nothing but nice things about Grier. Though we enjoy kicking him around, we really really really want him to GO!
