Stem cell slippery slope, sliding fast?

The Locker Room should be more worried that the slippery slop of American occupation is sliding fast than worried about a non-american country we have no control over in medical research.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A suicide bomber targeting laborers killed 60 people Tuesday in Baghdad and wounded 220 others, Iraqi officials said.
A pickup truck, loaded with about 440 pounds (200 kilograms) of explosives, pulled into central Baghdad's Tayaran Square as hundreds of unemployed Iraqis holding picks and shovels gathered seeking a day's work.
The truck driver signaled to the would-be workers that he had jobs -- prompting people to crowd around the pickup before he detonated his bomb, said an Iraqi Interior Ministry official. (Watch the blast's wreckage and its crater )
The explosion, which sent a cloud of black smoke into the sky, set several cars ablaze, and gunfire sounded after the blast, Reuters reported.
"A driver with a pickup truck stopped and asked for laborers. When they gathered around the car, it exploded," a witness told Reuters as he helped a stumbling survivor with a blood-stained head bandage.
"They were poor laborers looking for work. The poor are supposed to be protected by the government."
Iraqi police Lt. Bilal Ali Majid told The Associated Press that most of the victims were Shiites from poor areas of Baghdad such as Sadr City.
Bodies were piled up on the roadside and partly covered with paper, the AP reported. On a nearby sidewalk, two Iraqi men sat crying and sometimes buried their faces in their hands, according to the AP.
"Look at this injured man. He comes from a big family," Ali Hussein, a witness to the attack, told the AP, eyeing a dazed older man with a bloody bandage tied around his head.
Authorities said it was unclear whether the attack was related to the sectarian violence that has strained the fledgling Iraqi government.
Attacks on day laborers have occurred before as Iraqis battle high unemployment in the struggling wartime economy. Police theorize insurgents carry out such strikes to intimidate people from taking jobs that would help the U.S.-backed government or coalition.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki called Tuesday's bombing, a "horrible massacre," according to Reuters, blaming it on Saddam Hussein sympathizers and al Qaeda in Iraq.
"These terrorist groups are trying to spread chaos by killing and fueling sectarian strife," said al-Maliki, a Shiite, in a statement, according to Reuters.
One futher note today from South Baghdad. My son military unit hired about 15 Iraqi kids [ages 12 to 14] last week to clean the outer security fence of trash from it since no jobs can be found in Iraq.
At the morning break early today, all 15 innocent kids were found at the main security gate beheaded. Does the Locker Room really believe that stem cell research is a more important issue or a threat from the kids bodies? My son tossed his breakfest after viewing the criminal scene cause by the Republican leadership and others of the neo-con agenda.

Connie, a couple of weeks ago you said your son was wounded in a firefight, shot in the arm. Is he already back on line? Glad to hear he's recovered.
Posted on December 12, 2006 2:47 PM
Connie, do you have a source that can confirm your claim about the 15 kids being murdered? My sources over there have said nothing. At which base did this occur, which province, what military unit? And releasing that info will not violate OPSEC, the locations and names of all bases are already published.
The "criminals" in this case, if it really happened, are the terrorists, not the Multi-National forces that are fighting them. If you son is, indeed, serving in Iraq, I'm surprised that the scene made him ill. He must have no stomach for his chosen job.

So, you are saying that George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Condi Rice beheaded 15 kids in Iraq? I know that Rumsfeld was there over the weekend, perhaps it was his parting shot in Iraq. You think?

Spoken like a true Blackwater Group hired private Police State gun! You have no idea about miltary combat nor the emotional feeling in it. You have been watching too many Termiator flicks and is there any other reason besides claiming I have no son serving Iraq and a liar. People like you make me sick and make me want to gag on the sidelines before the kickoff. As to your reference about location and the story. I cannot comment on that as any 1 st year lawschool student knows with the JAG office. I can tell you this, His living quarters is a used shipping metal container with a hold cut out for the window air condition unit in the summer. The temp is about 20 degrees at night with the winter season in effect now. The head or showers is located 200 yards from the container with a tent over it in the middle of a field. The Camp is the oldest in the system and very small as compare to other camps. It is call F-Troop central command center by the units station there. It's Cowboys and Indians all over again.

Yep! In a spiritual unconstitional sense. They lie and should be held for a treason trial for the blood of the innocent children who had a life before we invaded. As to the comment about the terrorists. They were not there to start with like the WMD's, "they are in their last monments" * Cheney 3 years ago or " Mission Done"* by Bush 3 years ago. If you are a Cavinist in spiritual belief, you can cop out like the Religious Terrorists that claim God ordain it, or it's God plan by Cavinists from the other side of spiritual beliefs. It is like driving a auto at 55 mph and than you have a choice to do 120 mph on a single lane curve road to meet God ordain plan a little faster.

He is back in the field after a few cuts and scapes and a nice little hole in his right arm, The Dragon Fly Flack Jacket works like a charm and thanks for the concern as usual. I just made the final Credit Card payment on it the other day. 6 grand well investment since our Gorvenment claims they are too heavy for combat. Below is a recent e-mail to his friends. I hope some these sunshine patriot doubters here will hustle down on to Krogers and shipped off a truck load of chips to him and his buddies.

Connie, chips don't ship well to Iraq, not even Pringles.
The incident you allege would be public knowledge, no OPSEC issues on terr incidents over there. So did you make it up ala Lex Alexander or can it be confirmed? Please cite the location of the incident. My intel sources have not heard of it.
I spent a year in Iraq. I know of firefights, rockets, and mortars.
If your description is accurate then your son lives in luxurious quarters in his Attorney unit compared to real combat soldiers. He should be grateful.
what makes you think I work for Blackwater?
Posted on December 13, 2006 11:21 AM
Hmmm, your intel sources haven't heard of it? So it must not be true right. I mean, one guy in contact with his son, and another guy, in contact with his "intel sources."
Oooh...., circle of doubt, still doesn't change the fact that we're in a b.s. war, in a b.s. country and the b.s. government, namely bush, cheney and dickie got us into it.
Chips don't ship well? I can't remember my brother saying that about the zillion bags of fritos we sent over there.
As for the stem cell research, yeah it sucks that there's such a black market audience for them. Too bad we live in a society where we'd rather do our dirty work in back alley chopshops rather than someplace safe. Reminds me of a.b.o.r..... Because this research is not going away people.
Posted on December 13, 2006 3:12 PM
Nope, chips don't ship well. I had some sent to me in several different ways and they all wound up pretty much as crumbs.
My intel sources publish the daily intel brief used by MNF throughout the country. It details each incident broken down by Province.

what makes you think I work for Blackwater?* jcackbar
Simple! Your comments! By the way, you are not very good at your job. And speaking of job future at Blackwater and it's little Black Ops operation to screw over the constitution of the United States. Maybe some of the new Democrats might have gonads to stop funding your suck up Police State Military Orwellian operation.
Don't worry! Those BlackWater Helicopters will be painted Yellow and have a banner flying behind them with this AD " Job Opening at Haliburton for 3rd Shift Cooks in Iranian Food kitchens"
" A Government that operates in "Secret" with evil intent will fill the gallows at their treason trials"* Tom Paine after spenting one day in the French Parliment as a observer

If your description is accurate then your son lives in luxurious quarters* Another silly fool
If you consider a used rejected Metal Dumpest as your Cargo Shipping container Home of choice. Than you must be the booking agent for the Hilton hotel chain with the mind of it's grandaughter Paris.
I understand Waste Mangement of Baghdad is looking for a few good drivers on the midnight Soprona run. Have you consider a career in waste mangement or garbage Orwellian Newspeak?
Posted on December 13, 2006 8:17 PM
Your son in his little clerk job lives very well compared to the quarters of many who're fighting and dying for our country. He should count himself lucky that he has AC in his hootch in the summer.
And why do you keep bringing up the Blackwater company? Do they scare you or something? Do you know what they do and how they do it? Are you familiar with their ROE's or SOP's or command structure? Mission statement? TO&E and LOG procedures?
Sadly, you know little of what goes on in the real world.
