In my column Wednesday, I'll say why this is such an important photograph.

Is it because Terry Grier is not in the photo?

He is not in the picture, but that's not the reason it's important.

We already know Doug! How in the heck did they stuff all of those people in that tiny plane?
Posted on February 11, 2007 11:42 PM
Oh, well then it must be because all those people are from Guilford County and they can actually read and write.
Duh, I should've known that!

I think it's because they're all switching to Geico.

I'm getting some good ideas here.

For the amount of incentives coughed up, our community got a great deal with this Honda investment. Plus, Honda is a great corporate entity. If the Aircraft thing works out well for them, Honda may consider making future investments in our area.
I'm surprised that Skip Alston wasn't in the pics. He has a knack for showing up for significant photo ops.

If you will look to the bottom Right. You will find the test pilot George W Bush in his mission impossible flight suit.

Good idea! When can we expect Honda to start building Aircraft Carriers for the jet in Downtown Greensboro and have the Test Pilot land on them as a successful business venture?

Connie, you are a piece of work.
You are a walking anti-LSD commercial.
You should be on posters on college campuses.
Keep on truckin', baby!

All those folks in the picture got free college scholarships after being suspended from a Guilford County school?...is that it??
C'mon Doug, you're killing me. What's so special about that photo? Has Honda generously donated the money to build a new Honda High School out near the airport?
Posted on February 12, 2007 1:52 PM
That's a great idea about Honda High, but the students might not like 10 hours of classes a day, six days a week, 11 months a year.

Maybe they can help bring some Asian attitudes to eduaction and respect for learning (and teachers).

With all the jobs going overseas,
we just look on the future with dread.
Sometimes in the morning, it's all we can do to just get out of bed.
Honda you look so fine.
And you know it shouldn't take much time.
For you to help us Honda, help us get out of this funk.
Help us Honda, Help Help us Honda
Help us Honda, help help us honda
Help us Honda yeah, get that plant up quick!
Things used to be good, but now we're looking for an Ace.
All the Guilford politicians can't seem to talk about nothing but race.
Honda right from the start. will take you right on into our hearts.
So you can help us Honda, help us get it out of our minds.
Help us Honda, Help help us Honda
Help us Honda, help help us Honda
Help Us Honda yeah...

Maybe they'll fly some Japanese experts in education over to show how it's done. I bet they have people working for them in China, too. Maybe even India. Hmm. Are we going to become the (1960s-80s) Taiwan of the 21st century?

Sorry for the double, now triple post...my mistake when I hit the post button inadvertently.

No problem, Jim. You're increasing my page views. Maybe I'll catch JR this month.

"You must have been reading some those old CIA manuals from the 50's how they drug half of San Francisco with LSD in the water supply. It appears the results are finally coming in after watching SF for the past 30 years and the life style. Besides who is to question Congresswoman Maxine Waters about CIA matters"

Is it because it cost our community something like $6 million?
