An angrier Edwards?

My column today, "Edwards loses battle with media mogul."

Apologies to blog readers for its similarity to a post here last week. Today's offering was a version for print readers.

John Edwards apparently has initiated a change in tactics. He's showing anger, commentators say here and here.

Edwards has gotten very aggressive toward Hillary Clinton, taking more jabs at her during an AFL-CIO forum in Chicago yesterday. He's even criticized Bill Clinton lately.

The strategy might be risky, but unimpressive poll numbers indicate Edwards has little to lose.

My upcoming column will be familiar to readers of my blog, although it pulls together items posted over the course of a week.

Seems legit to me -- the way we write now.

Thanks, Ed. Your column will be a must read.

This is a fascinating post, as evidenced by the long string of comments:

My reaction: Every U.S. president, and every presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, has been a white male. Does Mrs. Edwards really believe her husband is disadvantaged by being ... a white male?

John Edwards apparently has initiated a change in tactics. He's showing anger,* Doug

No doubt about that! But the Edwards campaign is really, really mad at Ed for screwing up a white man chances to be president. It appears that Ed has become the homeboy political king like Barry Bonds with his steroid attack on Edwards and his wife. If I was Ed, I wouldn't dare be around Chapel Hill or Orange County for a long time nor attend a Democrat meeting in this state.

My upcoming column will be familiar to readers of my blog, although it pulls together items posted over the course of a week.* Ed

So we notice! At the rate that you are going, one will be surprise that you even have anymore readers like Bubba or for that fact, the Edwards camp....Forget that, you banish Bubba and one suspects that you will find that getting tickets to the Dean Dome this year might be lacking.

Just to be clear, the posts I turned into a column are about...my dog.

For the door most likely like Ed's bloggers.

Doug! Is the rumor true that you are going to reveal that Edwards is the Anti-Christ in your next editorial?

Doug! Are you aware that Edwards attended Clemson his freshman year as a young up and coming football star and suddenly transfer to NC State when he found out that the Clemson Dressing rooms didn't have showers or hair dryers?

Doug said:

Connie, I do not believe Edwards is the anti-Christ, nor do I hold it against him that he attended Clemson.

Doug, what evidence do you have that Edwards isn't the anti-Christ? I saw on Drudge that he sacrificed a goat to Satan in hopes of being turned into a black woman. I think Ed Cone was cited as a source.

Neither do I. Did you consider that his wife might be the leading candiate after running her mouth off to Ed? As to Clemson, "IPTAY" [ I Pay Thousands A Year] the school's football support club has put a disclaimer on their website today.

" We have never funded John Edwards while at Clemson nor did we try to recruit him during his high school years. John Edwards was a walk on and we show him the practice exit gate after he appear with long blow dry blond hair at the first practice. He was assigned to the practice sissy team and left after the first practice with the Varsity, when he was pile on by the whole team when try a quarterback sneak without the ball."

The lawyer for the club who happens to be my cousin said they have a sign on the practice field fence which says " The Shortest Yard in Clemson History was started here by Presidental Candiate John Edwards in 1973 whose present campaign confirms our history of him"

I don't blame him! It might be his last dinner like you if those hack off Edwards campaign workers find you.

No wonder you are sucking up to the John Locke foundation with that phony conservative blogging conference in September.

What are going to speak on?

On how to screw up a Edwards political blogging Presidental team in South Carolina?

Ed Cone reports to ABC News' Raelyn Johnson: Bullshit.

There was a lot of buzz, but little if any of it was about the veracity of the quote. In any case, you could have done what other media outlets, and the Edwards campaign, did: contact me for details of the interview. * Ed

Good Grief Ed! Did you just call Disney a bunch of liars with that emotional comment?

Did you or not say that comment and forget about contacting you. Any respected journalist would be for open public comments instead of you hiding on your blog amd behind Doug dog.

Oh no! Ed's comment about Edwards made Jay Leno last night. It appears that Leno said that Edwards was trying to be a Michael Jackson in reverse. Who wanted to be white and a women.
