A&T grads can expect the personal touch from Bill Cosby
A&T's May 10 graduation is going to be fun: Bill Cosby is lined up to speak.
Here's my report about Cosby's talk to High Point University graduates last May.
If Cosby's form holds, A&T grads can expect a lot of humor, some good-natured ribbing of Chancellor Stanley Battle and a serious message in there somewhere.
Best of all, each graduate can expect a very personal moment with the Cos. Again, from last year's report:
"He stood and greeted each one who walked across the platform when the time came for his or her name to be called. Each one received a handshake, hug or kiss and had a photo taken. More remarkably, Cosby said something to every one beyond just the pro forma congratulations -- and every one reacted with a smile or a laugh or an expression of sheer delight."
With an anticipated 1,100 graduates at A&T, Cosby's endurance may be tested if he tries to match the personal greetings he delivered to a smaller group at HPU. But I won't be surprised if he does.
