Dear Skybus,

I don't blame you for cutting back, given the skyrocketing fuel prices. But this is disappointing.

This was my first Skybus booking. Unfortunately, the 10:20 a.m. flight isn't a good alternative. I didn't plan to use a vacation day for a quick weekend trip to attend a wedding in Florida. So, it looks like I'll have to refuse the early flight, cancel the return flight on Sunday, apply for a refund and look for another airline or else stay home.

I still like your business model, and I hope I can fly you out of PTIA soon. But, the way things are going now, we all might be spending more time on the ground.

PTIA = Piedmont Triad International Airport - Can someone please help me understand what is International about PTIA?

Flights to south Florida?

The only thing international about our airport is some freight that flies across the border. It used to be an old Wrangler Airways prop plane, but I think the rubber band broke on that one so I'm not sure what they're using to justify the "International" label these days.
Skybus is following a familiar pattern here at our airport: Low cost carrier arrives amid much fanfare; months later it reduces number of flights; then it disappers when it finds this market is sucked dry by Raleigh and Charlotte airports.

But, the way things are going now, we all might be spending more time on the ground.* Doug

You got that right! You won't be able to purchase a Greyhouse ticket nor a AMTRAC at today's oil prices.

One of the first signs of a Police State is the limitation of travel. Have you consider a thumb enhancement program for hickhikering?
