Nightmare ticket
Time magazine: "What will (Hillary) Clinton's terms of surrender turn out to be? Her husband, for one, seems to have a pretty clear idea what he thinks she should get as a consolation prize. In Bill Clinton's view, she has earned nothing short of an offer to be Obama's running mate, according to some who are close to the former President.
New York Times: "Friends of the former president say his musings have been more casual: He believes that an Obama-Clinton ticket could help unify the party, and he thinks she has earned a meeting with Mr. Obama to discuss the possibility. According to these friends, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to be identified revealing private talks, Mr. Clinton believes that his wife’s victories in major primary battles, like Ohio and Pennsylvania, and the 16 million votes cast for her candidacy make her the proper choice for Mr. Obama."
Would Democrats actually buy this?
Wouldn't it reveal lack of confidence in Barack Obama's ability to win in November? Does he need the Clintons on board to beat a 71-year-old Republican whom they can tie to a discredited president during an unpopular war, economic recession and energy crisis?
In reality, tough and savvy John McCain won't be a pushover. But everything's going Democrats' way ... unless Obama does something that gives the appearance of either desperation or appeasement like bow to the Clintons' demands.
He says he's going to break away from old-style politics? Then hooking up with Bill and Hillary is the wrong way to go.
Besides, she'll slug him the first time he calls her "sweetie."

They have to be kidding. It would be akin to Obama deciding to put a cobra in his sleeping bag. You have Billy in there to boot. Absolutely impossible. Obama would be looking over his shoulder. He would even have to have food tasters etc. Untenable! As if he wouldn't have enough problems.

So, not only would the entire American public have to contend with the idea of a black person becoming President, they would also have to have the first female Vice President???
I just don't see that happening in this nation. I think including Hillary on the ticket would only hurt Obama's chances to win in November. I think a great choice for him would be someone like Joe Biden.
As for McCain... if he wants a legitimate shot, he'd better not put Mike Huckabee on the ticket with him, that's for sure.

Whatever! As I said 4 months ago and predicted that VP Hillary and President Obama would be the final Smackdown tag team. If I remember Doug! You and a host of Conservative Republicans said I was nuts about this dream team. Frankly, as said before and my good friend Jesse Ventura said in his last chapter of his new book " Don't start the Revolution without me" I wouldn't want to be President Obama with Bill and Hillary as my backup team.

I saw Ventura on a television show recently, and he is now a total nut job. Maybe Connie should nominate Ventura as Obama's running mate, if Ventura is so smart and powerful. He would really spice things up in the campaign. He meets the usual candidate requirement as he has been a state governor (sort of). Ventura is hawking the far left mantra that the WTC collapse was a controlled demolition, and I suppose was dastardly plot of the CIA, George Bush, and Dick Cheney.
"To me questions haven't been answered and are not being answered about 9/11," said Ventura, before highlighting the collapse of Building 7, a 47-story tall skyscraper that was not hit by a plane but collapsed in its own footprint in the late afternoon of September 11."
