Americans abroad
Catching up on overseas events ...
President Obama bows to Saudi King Abdullah.
Also kissing up to a foreign dictator, Bobby Rush, visiting Fidel Castro with other congressmen, says "It was almost like listening to an old friend."
I wonder if Rush and friends mentioned the Amnesty International report on Cuba.
Saudi Arabia's human rights record is "dire," according to its AI report. I wonder how American liberals would have reacted if President Bush had bowed to the man in charge.
The White House denies a bow. Right. See for yourself.

Doug:
Liberals were too busy reacting to the former President's hand-holding to notice ( http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0426/dailyUpdate.html ) any bowing.
Could have been worse, the new President could have curtsied.

Doug:
In terms of human rights problems on the island of Cuba, Amnesty International will see your 62 prisoners of conscience and raise you a few hundred detainees and a torture-tape cover-up ( http://www.amnesty.org/en/region/usa/report-2008 ).

Let me guess Dave, it's the "Freedom Fighters" illegally detained at Gitmo that are bing tortured! Isn't it odd that the Dav Ribar's of the world are so concerned about the treatment of terrorists, bur never say a word about the innocent victims of the terrorists, many of whom are beheaded. Did Amnesty International find any beheaded terrorists at Gitmo.
People like Ribar have made torture anything they want it to be despite, most of which does not fit into the specific dictionary definition of the word. Dave, do you think we should at least be able to do to terrorists what the Clinton Administration did to innocent women and children at Waco. Can we at least keep them awake all night with bright lights, and loud music, called torture by the Ribar types, then ram a tank, shit off their water and electricituy, then ram a tank into their cells. Whadda think Davey!
Regarding those buffoons from the Congressional Negro Caucus, they are the, far too high price we still pay for the sins of your(mind didn't arrive, legally, from Italy until the early 1900's) ancestors. Conyers keeps whining about reparations. What does he think he the rest of these fools are? Most of these clowns don't have the sense to run roadside fruit stands, but we carve out congressional districts in which O.J. Simpson could get elected.
Ans yes, if we want to learn what's really happ-ening in the world we watch Fox News. That's why they have 9 of the top 10 cable news shows, and are killing CNN and MSLSD in every ratings period. They are also not anti-American, anti-military, anti God, anti-Capitalist but are anti-ILLEGAL immigration, anti-Socialism/Fascism. No wonder the deranged left hates them! Fidel, Ahmadinejad, Chavez, yes, Fox News no. Sick bleeps!

Hey Dave, did the previous administration deny that Bush did what he did? Did they find it necessary to LIE about it? It was widely reported by the same media that wants this to just go away, but the administration just won't let it die.
Dave Ribar is the Obama supporter personnified! Hey Dave, what do you think about Carter II's comment concerning the Somali pirates (Muslim Terrorists) at his press conference?
He was asked by a reporter to comment on the situation and said the reporter," er, uh, we're talking about housing today," and moved on. I guess next he'll apologize to the pirates fro the aggressive actions of the crew in battling the pirates!
And of course, being "just 1 of 20" we'll need permission of the other 19 before we act to rescue the Captain. Could this be another 444 day hostage situation under the cowardly inaction of another weak Demo-Rat president?

Tony:
Nope, never a lie from the Bush administration.
I also suppose that you would have preferred the new President to respond "Bring 'em on" when he was interrupted by the reporter.

Once again Ribar use that favorite tactic of mindless liberals, justifying bad behavior by pointing out bad behavior of others.
The difference, Dave, is that we conservatives deserted Bush in droves over his bad behavior. We criticized the refusal to veto a single spending bill, for his Medicare Prescription drug plan, for his signing the "incumbent Protection Act" (Campaign Finance "Reform") and his outlandish "Amnesty" Bill.
Please tell me which, of all of the even more outlandish things, O'Bummer has done that a single one of you brainwashed robots have criticized him for. He's in the process of destroying our Capitalist system (the one that has made us the most prosperous, powerful, wealthy, generous nations EVER!) by destroying the industries, OIL, NATURAL GAS, COAL, OUR MILITARY, and every industry that relies on the proceeding to make ther lives of Americans the envy of the world. And that, NOT BUSH is why the rest of world doesn't like us!
Obama is a joke. He's weak, but arrogant. He's thin skinned, a bad trait for a president. For all of the love for him in declining, cowardly Old Europe what did all that love, or his shameless pandering, or show of subserviance to Saudi Monarchs, get him? The answer is NOTHING!
The same crowd that supported the first Jimmy Carter as he tried to destroy our country, and let 50 Americans be held hostage by Iranian terrorists for 444 days while he begged them for the realease, now support Carter II! Let's see if you still love Carter II when you're sitting in long lines to buy gas (as I did!), then pay $5-$8 a gallon.

Tony:
Apparently, this is a non-partisan "mindless" tactic as you are the one who initially raised Bush's behavior as a standard ("did the previous administration deny that Bush did what he did? Did they find it necessary to LIE about it?").
With respect to the new President's to the Saudi monarchs, you might go back and read "House of Bush, House of Saud: The Secret Relationship Between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties" by Craig Unger.
A half-hearted and admittedly embarassing bow doesn't begin to compare to the subserviance shown by the previous President and his family.
As usual, you have little to offer but insults and hysteria. Still, it is fun to watch you work yourself into a lather.
Cheers.
