English, anyone?
Arizona's been in the dock for years for its failure, according to federal courts, to provide effective Enlgish-language instruction to Spanish-speaking children.
The case will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court today, NPR reports.
What school systems in Arizona (and other states) have to overcome: kids who hear nothing but Spanish the 18 hours a day they're not in school.
It seems that parents have no responsibility for helping their children learn English. You'd think, at the least, they could sit the kids down in front of English-language TV for eight hours a day at home.
Another problem is that this amounts to an unfunded federal mandate. If Washington demands better English instruction, send the money. Why should Arizona carry the weight of this problem, particularly if it stems from poor border enforcement by federal authorities?
Just another example of the cost of unchecked immigration.

I agree! When can we expect you to start tearing down those Spanish-speaking and Signs down on our Airlines?

Is there a similar suit pending in Mexico for failing to teach their schools in English to the millions of U.S illegal immigrants?
Oh, wait...Mexico won't tolerate illegal immigration because of the enormous costs to government...never mind.

Beautiful universities exist in Mexico. Thousands gradutate with degrees in engineering, M.D's, dental and a host of educational diciplines. For the life of me I cannot figure out why the educational opportunities of our neighbor is not high-lighted. Why are we the devils for failing illegals? There are huge universities in Central America from Pamana north till the border of Mexico. South America is full of universities, too many to describe. Poverty is everywhere if that is all you see. Sometimes looking elsewhere helps understand "we are not the king".

I made a bunch of spelling errors in my last post. I have just had a retinal hemorrhage in my right eye and my spelling needs spell-check. My left eye is still 20/20 but up-close is blurry. I am sorry for my fractures.
Universidad de Ciudad is artistic Spanish.

Of course we're not the king. If you don't believe it, our president will tell you, and the rest of the world, as he circles the globe sounding like Jeremiah Wright, though he had no idea what "Crazy Jerry" ever said in 20 years!
How does one sound so much like one who he has never heard laud terrorists, and trash America. Could he possibly have always been like because of the Marxist professors he told us that he sought out while in school!

Hey Eloise, here's something I just picked up on the net. Hmm, not a soldier, but an animal rights activist. I may have mentioned this particular "breed" of terrorist. I guess we cannow assume that all animal rights activists are terrorists, or better yet we can assume that your biases overwhelm your ability to think! Or maybe to you, your rant was thinking!
"In a first, the FBI now has an alleged domestic terrorist on its list of "Most Wanted" terrorism suspects. Authorities say that Daniel Andreas San Diego is an animal rights activist who has turned to bomb attacks for his cause. Specifically, San Diego is wanted for the 2003 bombings of two corporate offices in California"
