More bad press for John Edwards

The N&O of Raleigh and the Charlotte Observer are giving coverage on their Web sites today to a National Enquirer report about former hedge fund millionaire John Edwards:

"The National Enquirer reported on its Web site that a federal grand jury in Raleigh is investigating whether former Sen. John Edwards violated campaign-finance laws in his bid for president in 2008 by making payments to Rielle Hunter, his admitted mistress," the N&O account says.

Here's the Enquirer story.

Could be tabloid trash ... but the Enquirer sure nailed Edwards last year, ending any chance he'd get a big job, or little job, in the Obama administration..

More bad press for John Edwards* Doug

Not only is the mainstream media on his case, but John Boy is in big trouble and looking at possible jail time. It appears that he has some big time enemies within the establishment political system that want to put him away forever in politics.......

Doug said:

Why would he go to jail?

He probably ought to be under house arrest, though.

At least the N&O reported the report.

"Why would he go to jail?"

Doug, you're not serious . . are you?

As for "house arrest", with a spurned/seething Elizabeth in the house, if I had to hazard a guess, I think he'd rather be in jail.

Doug said:

Maybe you're right.

I would be thrown out of my house ... and lucky if I was still breathing.

Because he Screw up by mixing business with pleasure.........Any former convicted Business or Political fool will tell you that you never, never mix the two, after doing hard time.......This unwriten law or rule, is taught at the Yale Business School for Stupid CEO's and political types like Gary Hart, Bill Clinton, the former President of GE, Congressman Gary Condit, who was lucky he didn't get charge with murder. The list is long, only Jack Kenndy dodge the smoking gun because the media at that time, believe personal affairs were none of their business and besides, payoffs were handle in a much better way to silent the oppostion about the so-called victims...

He probably ought to be under house arrest, though.* Doug

Naw! His wife will shoot him after she learns that she is out of his Will and replace by a whole list of business associates in Las Vegas. Besides, Eiz his wife will declared that she is dying and suffering from bouts of insanity from his political and business stupidity. What jury would convict her with that perfect storm of defense?
