The chairman speaketh
We've managed to wedge among all our candidate interviews a sit-down Monday with Guilford County Commissioners Chairman Bruce Davis.
Naturally, we'll ask about what he and Commissioner Paul Gibson learned during their convention trip to Hawaii.
We'll also ask about the mood of the commissioners, who seem as divided and as snippy toward one another as ever.
And we'll address such issues as his leadership style, the county jail's problems and the county budgeting process.
There's still time for you to add your own 2 cents. Anything else you'd like us to ask?

Has he paid his taxes?

How much of our money was spent on that wild goose chase against the GC Tax Director? What budget did it come from?
And why did the chairman or his cohort never apologize for attempting to ruin a man professionally because he doesn't like him personally? Is he too big to apologize? (or not big enough....)

I have to agree with John's and Sue's points.
Hopefully Mr. Davis is doing a little personal budgeting this year and will pay his property taxes on time this coming January.
Please ask him if he has resolved those pressing tax issues with regards to the Tax Director. The public does need to know what his qualifications are as compared to an entire State Agency.
What time is Mr. Alston letting him come by your office or do you have to go see him?

Yes find out if Bruce has paid HIS taxes, and WHY he went after the tax auditor like he did KNOWNING he didn't pay his own taxes.
Also, what The Great 1 said.
Thanks.

Allen, have you done your interview yet with Davis?
Is it online?
I respectfully ask that you question him about these things that we have asked, and report back.
Thanks.
