A shameful sign
Is that graffiti (or at least the bleached remnants of it) on the West Market Street facade of the Lincoln Financial Building?
Update: I called a Lincoln Financial spokesman today to confirm whether the blemish is indeed graffiti. Frankly, he said, he wasn't sure. But he'll let us know Monday.

It's, of course frustrating and disconcerting when any private or public property is defaced in this manner, but especially a city landmark.

Is this a rhetorical question, Mr. Johnson? I'm willing to go investigate this for you but I'm kind of busy right now.

OK, I don't know where the Lincoln Financial Building is, but it appears that the Jefferson-Pilot Building has been defaced by someone associated with Lincoln Financial. They've affixed "Lincoln Financial" signs all over the place. I've got a call into Jon Boscia to see if he knows who is behind this. I'll keep you posted.
