I am teaching classes at UNCG and N.C. A&T this semester.
This gives me the chance to tell my A&T students, "So you think you've got parking problems?"

Having done stuff at both Universities (did a PhD at one and throw a conference at the other), there's little comparison. If you can walk (no aspersions on those who can't because there aren't enough handicapped spaces at either one), UNCG has a parking garage. Both schools are terribly bad at parking, but truly, A&T is worse. IMO, the difference is the parking garage.

Sue,
Evidently you have not "done stuff" on the A&T campus recently. A parking garage/deck was completed in the fall of 2006, located behind Bluford Library. Students, faculty, and staff can purchase a pass for the school year and hourly rates of $1.00 (max $5.00/day) are available as well. And there are plenty of spaces available.
I guess you will have to find something else to complain about.

To me, parking at A&T remains infinitely easier, and I'm there two or three times a week.

With the lovely biking lanes around UNCG, I really can't see why any decent person would be driving a car there. And if think the parking is bad now, you should have been here before the newest parking deck opened.

I was. I taught there for six-plus years.

My wife has recently enrolled at The G for a second degree. We live out by the airport so I doubt she will be biking it in. I still think she is a decent person. The G has many, many commuter types thus the additional parking issues.

For the record, I'm a 25-minute walk in and I still drive to UNCG most of the time.
