Snuff it out
Some legislators are getting cold feet about a statewide ban no smoking in most public places. Words such as "choice" and "smokers' rights" are wafting into the discussion.
Puh-lease.
The bottom line is that this is a public health issue, plain and simple. Secondhand smoke, inhaled and exhaled into someone elses' breathing space not only is disgusting ... it is dangerous.

Whew! After the trans fat scare, I was afraid you'd lose your perfect rating from the Association for the Governmental Regulation of Everything. But with your Marriage Indoctrination Camps and now the abolition of particulate matter, you're definitely back in AGRE's good graces.
But you need to learn (as Sue Myrick already has) to trust the Invisible Hand of free market economics. It is, after all, the kindest, gentlest Hand in all of human history.

Brian:
I'm all for free markets deciding lots of things, but not the public's health. Secondhand smoke is dangerous to others, period. If you must engage in this disgusting and unhealthy practice, please do it in private.
