Sharpton comes to town
Al Sharpton is coming back to Greensboro.
He'll appear at a get-out-the-vote rally at 5 p.m. Monday on the steps of Memorial Student Union at N.C. A&T.
The school's junior class is sponsoring the event.
I am no fan of Sharpton, who has made a pretty good career out of being a self-declared leader.
But I found him entertaining during his campaign for president a few years ago and also found him to make the most sense sometimes of any of the candidates.
That's more than a little bit scary.

I can't wait to see him - is he staying with Diane Bellamy Small this time, like he did last time?

Maybe he could explain Obama yesterday speech!
Taxes cuts for everyone, said it twice! My question how he going to pay for all his give away programs and cut taxes for EVERONE. The NR must now change their position and be McCain fans,,since they have never seen a tax hike in NC they did not think was the right thing to do. No way, they will just change their rhetoric.

Change our position, Doug? We haven't taken one in the presidential race and won't be taking one.

I must get a strange NR in Caswell. Mine has numerous anti Pauline letters, some anti McCain letters, and all positive Obama letters. I have read we must know more about Palin, I like to know more about Obama connections to the Daly family and Biden, not paying his bills. Seems he like to rents jets and does not pay for them. You can take a stand by your actions.

All I can say, Doug, is we print the letters we get. There is no agenda to skew them in any direction.
Have you written one lately? I certainly invite you to.
On Obama's Chicago connections, that's the News Department's general purview, and they have have published stories about at least some of them over the months of the campaign.
