Just guessing but I'm betting Republicans & Libertarians won't be among those favored by The Ruse & Wreckered -

Okay, let me take a wild guess on this first one! You're going for the hope and change of Hagan, the darling of the far left.
This weekend, liberal, Hollywood Democrats are choosing to support the candidates they believe most closely represent their values. This Saturday, the Hollywood crowd is hosting a fundraiser for like-minded Senate candidates who include Kay Hagan of North Carolina,
Al Franken of Minnesota, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire and Mark Begich of Alaska. The group has pledged a minimum of $100,000 for each candidate. Not a cheap investment, even for such an affluent group of Hollywood fat-cats

The suspense is killing me! I got $10 on Hagan. Anybody want to take Dole at 10-1?

Surprise, Surprise! The N&R, after years of fluff pieces and favorable coverage, endorses Kay Hagan for the U.S. Senate. "Fiscal responsibility" and "responsiveness", were among the reasons the editorial board choosed to opt for Hagan. You have got to be kidding! The state debt has doubled during her tenure in the NC Senate, she has voted to raise regressive taxes and fees that impact the "working families" the most (in terms of their income), and she voted for numerous pork barrel projects when the state was facing budget shortfalls. "Responsiveness"? Have you ever tried to get an e-mail reponse from her? I tried 6 times before somebody in her office finally got back to me with a perfunctory reply. I guess her cheerleader-in-chief at the N&R, Mark Binker, did not have this problem, as he does not write a discouraging word about his favorite state senator.
Allen, I would not ever bet on your paper endorsing any Republican in a competitive race in any given year. Endorsing GOP candidates that run unopposed, or have token opposition (like Howard Coble) do not count. Let's see, in the last ten years, for U.S. Senate races in North Carolina, your paper has endorsed Edwards over Faircloth, Bowles over Dole, Bowles over Burr, and now, Hagan over Dole- the DSCC must love your paper. How about some bi-partisanship here?
