Obama's speech
The new president gave a rousing and skillful inaugural address Tuesday.
It was tough and diplomatic.Hard-edged and warm-hearted.
He clearly recognizes the enormity of the task ahead, and he wants us to know that it will take time and sacrifice to fix all that’s broken.
I especially give Obama points for his direct appeal to Muslims and his warning to America’s enemies about our resolve.
And for his warning that government doesn't have all the answers. Nor should it.
Good start. Now comes the hard part.

You may want to go back and check what happened to other presidents, that stuck out a olive branch!

The dignity and grace of Barak Obama confronted by Supreme Court Justice John Roberts' hostility to give Obama not the Presidential Oath, but a mangled oath to picture Obama as stumbler of words viewed by the hopeful world. Obama voted against Roberts to lead the third branch of government. Obama is a constitutional scholar and knew the oath backwards and forwards. nd John Roberts apoligized to Obama but has yet to be man enough to apologize to the millions and millions that believe in fairness. I will never again trust any USA Supreme Court decision until John Roberts, Esquire, takes off his robe and speaks to me and millions of others. Christine

We love our children and life is sacred and will defend against all enemys especially radical extremist terriorists.Christine

He dropped the ball, in my opinion.
As incoming leader, Obama should have not
only thanked George Bush for his service but he should have thanked him for his commitment and dedication for the last eight years. Obama also should have acknowledged Laura Bush for her commitment and dedication.
It's politics as usual, even on Inauguration Day.
BTW, I am speaking as a registered Independent.
