No place like dome
More proof that the ACC Tournament fits in a dome about as snugly as Rush Limbaugh at a MoveOn.org convention:
Entering today's session, 5,000 tickets remained unsold.
The fact that tickets were available for public sale at all speaks volumes.
Chalk up part of the problem definitely to the soft economy.
But no matter how enthralled college basketball's powers may be with domes, they are typically horrible places to watch hoops.
Also, the ACC's mystique is diminished in such humongous and sterile echo chambers.
This event belongs in a basketball arena. In Greensboro.

More of the neverending Rush Limbaugh delusiona phobia from the looney left! Since you brought it up:
HOW TO START EACH DAY WITH A POSITIVE OUTLOOK
1. Open a new file in your computer.
2. Name it 'Barack Obama'.
3. Send it to the Recycle Bin.
4. Empty the Recycle Bin.
5. Your PC will ask you: 'Do you really want to get rid of 'Barack Obama?'
6. Firmly Click 'Yes.'
7. Feel better?
GOOD - Tomorrow we'll do Nancy Pelosi!

5000 tickets were unsold. How many tickets were there sold March 12? How many bodies attended the Dome?

In the GSO coliseum they could have used those curtains they pull to make the place not look so empty -

I LOVED Ed Cone's column today. It was kind of refreshing in that instead of like the N&R and othe liberal members of the media (Yes Weekly etc) who instead of just simply not discussing the hysterical reverse racism that eventuated Wray's leaving, no matter the evidence for such, Ed just puts it right in your face that he will avoid the subject and only say a token word about "dysfunction on the council" and then went off about the weather ("springtime"-hot subject that) and the NCAA tourney.
I'm not sure if Ed was doing like a parody of the other media liberals or he is just saying bleep it, "I'm not going to talk about it".
Either way, an interesting, kind of entertaining angle, that will surely help the city move on.
