Miss California uncovered
It seemed only a matter of time before photos of Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA, surfaced, depicting the beauty queen in various states of undress.
This kind of stuff tends to happen to beauty queens, dating all the way back to Vanessa Williams.
It especially tends to happen to beauty queens who take controversial stands on sensitive issues.
The pageant people may care about the photos, which Prejean explained this way: "I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be ... I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos."
Yawn. I don't.
Prejean may lose her crown, which she may lose anyway for campaigning against gay marriage, a violation of her contract.
There is no small irony that a pageant featuring women in scant swimwear would get so huffy about lingerie photos, even a topless one.
The bone I have to pick is not the photos or pageant rules.
I just think she's dead wrong on gay marriage, both on logical and moral levels.
But that ought to be the crux of the debate, not some old photos.

So what I think you are saying is? I like most liberals believe in free speech, as long as you are saying what I want to hear.
Did I miss it, when you showed your outrage of the UNC folks?
Did you notice Fox News PROFITS? Seems their both sides of the argument is kicking the heck out of your papers same old liberals good, conservatives bad argument.
Have you noticed this lady has a got a lot of heat from the liberal media.
Have not heard a word about good ole Janet's, ex military, Christians, and Jews are more than likely to become terrorist.

This Dog's (i.e. Doug Johnson's) ability to miss the point is impressive.
(1) Allen has no problem with free speech or Miss Cal's right to voice conservative views--he just disagrees with them. And he alludes to the possibility that some liberal who controlled the lingerie pics made them public. Dirty tricks are a fact of life, and they cut both ways along the ideological spectrum.
(2) The N&R editorialized a number of times against the violation of free speech at Chapel Hill. It was inexcusable. Why can't you take yes for an answer? Rather than spewing tired tirades against liberals, you might consider actually knowing what you're talking about.
As for Fox News presenting both sides, well, let's leave that silliness for another day.

Thanks for the clarification, Andy. That's exactly what I meant.
I don't mind Carrie Prejean speaking her mind on gay marriage and I think the photos are an irrelevant distraction.
Again, I just think her opinion is wrong.
As I see it, the biggest threat to heterosexual marriage is not gay marriage.
It's heterosexual divorce.

Your reaction to Miss California is so very typical of you people (liberals). Her position on homosexual marriage is exactly same as the position stated by your Messiah, the new owner of Chrysler Motors!
Where was all the vitirol aimed O'Bummer for his position on homosexual marriage, by the same crowd that found it necessary to villify a young woman for agreeing with the president!
You people (liberals) are truly comical.

You're right, Tony. And I noted that in an earlier post on Miss California.
I agree with you. And I disagree with Obama.

The Destruction of Carrie Prejean
Liberals will destroy anyone who gets in their way.
See Sarah Palin. See Joe the Plumber. See Rush Limbaugh. See anyone who strays from the sick liberal ideology. See Arlen Specter. See Rick Warren. See National Prayer Day!

"Liberals will destroy anyone who gets in their way.

I'm not sure it makes much sense to call "National Prayer Day" "anyone."
Nevertheless, in what way are ANY of these people you mention above (excepting the non-person "National Prayer Day") destroyed? I've seen or heard them all recently, so I know they're not dead. They get all kinds of favorable media coverage, so it can't be that. Rush Limbaugh signed a $400,000,000 dollar contract recently, I could use some of that type of destruction. Samuel Wurzlebacher (Joe the not-licensed Plumber) has gotten book deals and gigs as a journalist. Specter is in his 30th year as an elected official. Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska and a potential candidate for President of the United States in 2012.
Seems like they're all doing just fine for having been "destroyed."
You know, words have meaning, you can't just jumble them up like that old BASIC computer program "buzz-words" did.
Well, I guess you *can,* just don't expect them to make sense.

Well said, Tony Ledford. If Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, or Rush Limbaugh have been destroyed, Lord, may I be similarly destroyed, and soon.
As for Arlen Spector, are his political problems really the work of nefarious liberals, or the result of his straying from conservative ideology?

Brian you want a link?
Joe Killian of this paper ran a blog trying to make you think Palin did pron movies.
Also remember links many come from liberals like the Huffington Post, are the New York Times.
Now for a up to date story.
This paper ran a lot a week are so ago, praising Kay Hagan for wanting to steal everything you have worked for all your life.
I noted then, I thought the facts stated was typical liberal BS. I was in the process of doing estate planing.
The letter stated that you got a 7 million dollar exemption. Well this is true, if you plan to die this year. I think the NR should clarify this.
Allen Brod, yes I am Doug Johnson, have never made any attempt to hide it.
Now what are you going to do about it!
Mr. Johnson,(the liberal Johnson) I am sticking to my guns, regardless of your liberal buddies defense of you. Your point in my opinion was to belittle this lady. By the way, I all for abortion and same sex marriage. A few generations, no liberals.
In real life I give a darn about either.
I have far more interest in the Raleigh Mafia, and pigs like Hagan trying to steal everything I worked for. Wonder why this pigs never talk about taxing newspapers.

Easy, Doug.
I was simply trying to say the photos are not germane to the same-sex marriage debate.
I never thought my agreeing (for once) with Tony Moschetti would make you so angry.
