I am the head of the Higgins PAC here in Guilford County. It is also important, if not vital for the candidates to address their sexual preferences while campaigning. I'm shocked it is not public record. What happens when a candidate wins and has a fake wife or husband for the campaign, and then once they win, they annoucne that they are gay or lesbyin and want to advance the gay agenda and rewrite the laws? This is serious. It can happen here. These candidates must step up to the plate and notifie the citizen of everywhere if they are gay and if the believe in God as well. The Higgins PAC will only support non gaylike candidates who are against the gay agenda that has a strangehold on the state and world.

Matt,

Does this Higgins PAC exist?

This is the second comment along these lines that I have read; the first one I noticed showed up in a comment on my blog and was very similar to the one posted by "August West."

Didn't know if this falls into the category of trolling or if there are actually individuals organzing against something that has not otherwise even come up (to my knowledge, at least).

At any rate, for individuals who think like that, this is my response, copied from comments I posted on my blog:

"The issue of candidates' sexual preferences has not come up, but if it did, it would not bother me.

"I don't feel threatened by someone else's sexuality.

"I'm generally not a fan of anyone flaunting their sexuality, but in our culture, we have to worry about that coming from heterosexuals far more than we have to worry about it coming from homosexuals.

"People who are obsessed about homosexuality's influence on our culture are almost completely silent on domestic violence, sexual harassment by heterosexuals (usually men against women), adultery, divorce, child abuse, and a whole host of issues I regard as far more significant problems in our society than homosexuality.

"It's selective and convenient for heterosexuals to focus on homosexuality so that they can avoid confronting their own sins.

"Sorry, but I'll have to disagree with you on this subject."

Just out of curiosity, I'll add: are there any plans for the Higgins PAC to unite with the KKK on this issue (kind of like a KKK/Nazi union)? If they organize a "Death to Gays" rally, some people won't be as offended as they were by the "Death to the Klan" rally. Some people actually would not be ashamed to show enthusiastic support for such a gathering.

Sincerely,

Hardy

Hey, are you the same August West from the Grateful Dead's "Wharf Rat?" I love that song.

The Higgins PAC is a figment of my imagination, as is everything I wrote. I'm just a troll. I also stole the name from Robert Hunter. Another troll move.

Live and learn.
