Bonds. Municipal bonds.
Looks like National Night Out, scheduled for Aug. 1, will push the city council's public hearing on the bonds back to July 31.
The hearing will be your chance to talk about the 10 (make that 11, once the council approves the library bond next week) items on the ballot in November.
Any initial thoughts? The sit-in museum? The old stadium? The swim center? Surely someone has something to say about these projects.

As your self-appointed blog coach, I need to point something out which will explain, somehow, why you've not recieved any comments on this yet.
The blogrule that applies here is: Never invite a commenter to comment if you want to get comments on something you've written.
It is an oddity to be sure, but I've observed that whenever a blogger overtly asks for input or a comment on something they have written - they will never get one. It is better to close the blog post with a snide comment or wierd conclusion. Then comments will come.
You are welcome. No Charge.
But besides that, I will ignore the rule and make a comment: Bring back the yardsigns that say "Renovate War Memorial Stadium". I have a few of them leftover in my basement from the naysayer days.

Good advice, David. So you're saying with bloggers, you've got to play hard to get. Gotcha.
Given that, I'd like to say that I especially don't care if Mr. Sun reads any of my blog posts. Not one bit.

I have a lot to say about the budget and the bond issues and the cuts, but Triadblogs is down so I can't post. It is killing this opinionated old Broad to just sit here with my entries all written and no where to paste them. It's something like being all dressed up and no where to go. Bummer!

With you on the Sun, Margaret. He's nothing but a bunch of hot air!

I think most people don't know what a bond is. They believe it's magic that you use in place of money. They don't know we are paying back around 50 million per year for bonds now. Look in the new city budget (Fudget).
I say No to the new bonds.
