Well it's always nice to have the gang all come out on the night you get canned and pat you on the back and tell you that, in their estimation, you were the most job specific qualified person ever in the history of mankind to get fired.
Knowing I was gonna get canned as a result of a prior courtesy visit by some of the commissioners, I believe I'd told 'em then and there to take the job and shove it and refuse to show up on the night I was to "officially" get canned in order to further be humiliated.
I would have thought that Mr. Best would have considered his dignity more important than the remainder of his financial contractual agreement.
