With campaigns come ... fundraisers!

I'm going to post all the information I receive about candidate fundraisers on the blog. And with 33 candidates - buddy, you'd better believe that's a lot of fundraisers. I'll try to do this on a fairly timely basis, too.

"If you don't want to give out your personal info on the RSVP form on the Democratic website for the "Greening Greensboro" Democratic Reunion event at the Fields house at 902 Carolina St this Sat evening 5-7pm, just RSVP by replying to this email.

"Thanks and hope you can stop by to meet City Council Candidate Joel Landau and learn about the US Mayor's Climate Protection Agreement and the Greensboro Cool Cities Campaign.

Margaret,
It will be great to have a central location for this information, thanks for doing it.
What's your opinion on the Landau fundraiser being posted as a "Democratic Reunion" in a supposedly non partisan election?

Margaret Banks said:

It does seem that in a race this crowded, people will do anything they can to distinguish themselves. I can't see partisan politics being much of an issue in my district (Distict 2), for instance, because there are only two candidates. But at-large? Yeah, if it helps a candidate to align with a particular party, then suddenly the race for Greensboro City Council IS a partisan race.

It's all about the v-o-t-e-s.

Will you post a link to a fundraiser for Newt Gingrich or would that violate editorial standards?

Margaret Banks said:

Is it local? If so, send it over and I'll post it pronto.
