You're not alone
You might have squirmed when Guilford County raised property taxes for the sixth time in seven years.
So did lots of other Tar Heel dwellers, particularly in the state's larger counties. From the N.C. Association of County Commissioners:
At least 48 counties have raised property taxes for 2007-08, the largest number of counties with an increase in a single year in at least five years. These counties represent nearly 6 million of the state's projected 8.86 million-plus residents.*

Yeah I just read that Guilford Count bosses forged a deal to raise our property taxes AGAIN !
Same over at the monolithic City Council that does what Mitch tells then to do.
Alma Adams,Kattie Dorsett, and the other race baiters from the Black caucus are handing out patronage jobs and contracts to their friends and relatives. The paper justAdams should stop trying to affix blame on the ethically challenged Black Caucus. Alma also gets taxpayer funds $75,000.00 for her pet project the African American Atelier art gallery.WTF does this have to do with the public good No end to the pork that the tyranny of the minority in this county, including the Pulpit Forum which can get a Police Chief sacked, can extort from the guilt ridden wuzzies.
Same thing for Yvonne Johnson and her one step further.
She has been executive Director since 1983. For many years the City funded her non-profit (conflict of interest while on the City Council.) Now they have switched the scam over to the county where this years budget gives this woman( candidate for Mayor )a handout of $60,000.00, while her dead beat disbarred lawyer(Walter ) husband owes the IRS and NC Dept of revenue large sums of unpaid taxes. He had his own little game going claiming to arrange early releases for convicts, taking the money and wamoosing.
Vote Republican !!!
