Council sees 'Black Book' in closed session
So it turns out that the City Council did see a copy of the "Black Book" last night. Mayor Yvonne Johnson said today the council looked a copy of the infamous photo lineup during its closed session last night. She declined to characterize what she saw, as have other council members I've talked to today.
I'm in the early stages of reporting this. More in the paper tomorrow.

Hi Margaret,
I have some questions about your always interesting work namely today's A1 story.
In the story you state "Some of his (Wray's) defenders have doubted the book's existence."
That's new to me. Do you know specifically of anyone who doubted the line up book existed?
Also, do you know of anyone who has contradicted Locke Clifford's explanation of how and why the line up book was formed? I'm not aware of anyone who has publicly but I could have missed that story.
I am also wondering why the words black book are in quotation marks.
Zack Matheny's comments ("wow, here it is, it exists, it's kind of a dirty feeling") seem more like a 6th grader looking at his first Playboy book. I wonder if he knows that statement just convicted David Wray without a trial.
I apologize if the answers to these questions are in previous stories. I have not been able to find these answers through research on this matter.
Thanks Margaret.
