It seems there are enough votes to Keep Mitch, as only Rakestraw, Wade are after blood.
Amazing how the County Commissioners are now civil and operating like a well oiled machine, while the "former commissioners" are making a mockery of our city council. My hope is that Mike Barber will shake off his protracted sleep and see this for what it really is--vengence. Wade and Rakestraw have joined up together to turn the council into a circus like they did over on the Commissioners--there has to be turmoil for those two, as that's what they live for.

Any info on what "issues in the Parks & Recreation Department" are in need of "addressing".

The P&R Commission met yesterday and no "issues" came up even though a city mgr and a city council person were in attendance.

While we're asking questions of Mitch Johnson, how about the screw up of the water bills? According to WFMY, seems the bills are all incorrect and new ones will have to be prepared. How much is that costing the taxpayers? I'm not an IT person, but I know enough to check out major changes in a billing system before I turn it loose.

I know Johnson didn't do it himself, but it happened on his watch. If he expects to be top dog he needs to know what his puppies are doing.

David, they did NOT specify which issues in P&R, and that will be one of the first questions I ask. They immediately went back into closed session, so there was no time to ask.

And what issues in the Commuications Department? is there even a "communications department"?? It's not listed on the city's website. Seems to me that all the communications issues have been the result of an unwillingness to communicate on the part of the Legal department and the police department, not the city's communications folks.

The circus continues -

What a nebulous list of directives for Mitch Johnson. The Council should have directed Johnson to:

-come clean on "Memogate." What did he know about the memos regarding the black book and when did he know it? What was he trying to cover up?

-demand accountability. Johnson locked Wray out of his office and then forced his recognition because he "lost trust in him." Johnson's behavior regarding Memogate is no less untrustworthy.

-Finally, give Johnson a clear set of metrics for him to meet as city manager. If he fails to meet the requirements, he loses his job.

Can anyone explain the reasoning behind making the most powerful person in city government unelected and unable to be recalled? There seems to be something undemocratic about that. We stopped the indirect election of the president, why not the manager?

Aaron, you're correct about being unable to remove the manager by recall election. But it is my understanding that he can be removed by referendum petition.
Be assured that certain active community leaders are discussing options.

Perry, your're right about Mike Barber's collusioin with the city manager's job. He has no ethics since he believes that when someone doesn't like the truth and the heat is on, then you rule against the truth and use the excuse that the law can be broken. He's one of Hatfield's patsies in that they buy off every attorney and judge using the criminal abuse of justice thru the city police department to cover up their crimes of fraud by extortion.
Why hasn't Wray's attorney, Locke Clifford gone to court with his client? He already knows he won't get a fair hearing or due process for his client or much less Scott Sanders by his attorney.
Test the waters and see if that isn't a fact. I know, Mike Barber told me last year to my face that when your're not liked, then there is no justice. Seems to me, he reminds me of the thug representative in Raleigh, Tom Wright who has committed fraud, obstruction of justice, and would you know, uses a Greensboro Attorney who the judge cares less about. It may be 128 years since a public official was removed from office (Mitch Johnson), but he has not ethics and if a true investigation of his lies and deceit were allowed to be made public, he would be found guilty, like Geddy's (poor soul trying to get out of prison) by violating a federal law that makes it a federal crime by a public official (Mitch Johnson, the police department 's dirty cop, and the police chief, along with the judge who likes cop killers that strike out at police officers) as well as Mike Barber, a crime to deny or deprive the public of honest services. I'm sorry that the only two city council members who know the truth were unable to bring the truth out. As I see it, the meeting wasn't about making Mitch (who should have been pitched to the landfill) answer to his obstruction of justice to keep his job. Wasn't that what the closed meeting was to be about? I thought there was a community meeting with the Mayor over the other issues that did not relate to the matter that has been in the paper to be decided. Maybe I misread the bs by the paper in that it mixed prunes with apples and oranges to dance around the problem involving the city manager since prunes don't do anything except let the poop out if enough are eaten.
The county commissioners don't do anything as they should since the excuse for their corruption and cover up, as addressed by the Rhino Times in 2003 about the cover up by Churchill's clerk's by a certain attorney (Kitty Hatfield) in the High Point Clerk of Court's Office. Oh, now you have to call the county attorney. Where was the city attorney at this so called meeting. Bet he's bought by the Hatfield's as they bought off of my attorneys with threats of disbarment if they did not do what they were told to do by the Hatfield's. Even Allen Johnson brought out this fact in his editorial in August 2001 when he stated that Bill Daisy (remember him and his sexual harassment and being bought by Kitty Hatfield in my case along with Joe Turner and all judges involved in her cases) that if the judges did not do what a certain attorney wanted them to do in order to when her cases, regardless of the truth or the law, that lawyer would turn on them with dirty antics. Oh well, I say that anyone who thinks they know the truth, which I haven't read, except in Trudy and Mary, then maybe you should see for yourself how the judges are manipulated by the Hatfield's. I have the evidence even when my own attorneys brought out that the Hatfield's are not Gingis Kong and they abuse the criminal process to vent their hate crimes which is against the law.
Well, what you didn't do right, Mike Barber, I'll do in my federal lawsuit against the city of Greensboro and its corrupt police department as well as its attorneys and county departments that aid and abet crimes by pedophiles and corrupt attorneys who need to be disbarred for the same Nifong crimes of stupidity.

The P&R Dept is leading the way in gang prevention. Several initiatives have been under way for years to bring more kids to our Rec Centers. In the last year, several additional steps have been taken including working with the police dept. to help identify kids who are at risk and involve them with recreation programs and to match them with mentors.. The dept has applied for a huge state grant to augment their current "scholorship" program to bring even more kids into the fold.

It might be a good idea to get involved and help instead of sniping from the sidelines.

How I feel is that the City of Greensboro at the manipulation by a drug infested police force used to obstruct a financial fraud crime by the Hatfield's has my son's life in danger by his pedophile father as well as the violation and fraud of my family in a case that never had any jurisdiction. I know what police brutality is all about when the Hatfield's are involved in everything within the city, control of the court, the judges who have to rule upon the lives of human beings destroyed by the corruption involving the GPD. If you want the truth, go into court and see how the city police department, along with James Fulmore and Brian James are used to cover up and obstruct a fraud investigation. That also includes you chief of police. This case is no longer in the courts but will be dealt with now in a federal case whereby the city and courts, attorneys, DSS, mental health, all have no public doctrine immunity, or absolute immunity for their criminal malicious intents and motives all under the color of law in their actions as officers of the state of NC. The police department needs a clean up with clorox and then complete drug testing. As long as my family and father's life earnings were extorted and converted illegally and paid out to Kitty, and the police department failed to do a fraud investigation whereby federal indictments could come down when reported to internal affairs about Cuthbertson, as well as to Sergeant karen Walters in March 2006, when the case was out of civil court and the crimes had paid out illegally in November 2003 as well as again in Feb. 2006 at the direction of judge Turner, who Cuthbertson obstructed justice in falsifying and altering the warrants as clearly documented. If you are as stupid as Mitch, then you have missed the point about what is going on and will continue as long as he stays on board and the public is left withot the final vote, not Mike Barber.
