Two commissioner candidates' sites are up
Cross-posted from Decision 2008.
Two challengers in two different Guilford County Commissioner races now have an official web presence.
Democrat Greg Woodard, District 8 candidate.
Republican Rick Wallace, District 5 candidate.
Woodard, who is challenging Democratic incumbent Melvin "Skip" Alston for the District 8 seat, makes a play on his own name for this election blog, Lessons Learned from the Woodshed. There's his bio and a few other things about his background posted there so far.
Woodard started it back in July, and the blog has been dormant until recently, with three new posts in March. And there's this nifty drawing posted on his site:
The caption reads "Old Fashion Crime Prevention."
The other site, for Republican District 5 candidate Wallace, is for his race against incumbent Republican Billy Yow and Republican challenger Lisa Andrews. The winner will be decided in the May 6 primary, just the same as the District 8 election.
The site gives his position on several issues, and this photo of Wallace riding on a tractor in a parade as mayor of Pleasant Garden, which he held from 2005-07:

Wallace's slogan: "Feel the Beat - It's ElectRick!"
