Twenty questions with Mitchell Johnson

It's my job to ask people tough questions:

Is the water making people sick? When did you start using the church's funds to redecorate your house? Will the director keep his job?

Now it's your turn.

The Greensboro Neighborhood Congress, a collection of neighborhood groups from across the city, will host City Manager Mitchell Johnson Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Greensboro Historical Museum. The discussion will be moderated by congress members. They ask that you submit questions to them in writing as early as possible. You can email them to bdnewt@yahoo.com.

I know what kinds of things I have been asking Johnson lately. How much does it cost to run a landfill? What is going on with the various equal employment opportunity complaints facing city departments? How many people will you have to lay off?

But what about you? What kinds of things do you want to ask the city manager?

I posted my question for Mitch Johnson on March 29th. And the longer he ignores it the worse he looks. And yes, I did e-mail the question to the GNC.

Mr. Mitchell, why don't you resign?

Please, not for a moment, think that the snub of Mitch Johnson was unintentional! Who wants to spend $4.00/gal gas to go see or listen to a smurk-jerk like Johnson! He does not deserve any positive attention other than dismissal! The citizens do not need the stress and flustration of sparing with a "city hall" they feel powerless to improve!

The best complement to his "event" which summed up just about everything during the past couple years was accpmlished by the Federal Government! They hired Wray in Tennessee! This pretty well answered all the "lost" and unreleasable documents the City council could not find or for other reasons release!

Greensboro is left in the dust again with a low performance crew bickering among themselves while the many citizens watch "Greensboro" and Guilford County burn! We have so many "Nero's" we appear forever damned to mediocry!

Often I wonder if our many local learning centers are a local damnation instead of an asset! We surely, constantly, seem to stab ourselves in the groin!
