Vietnamese
Pho (Noodle) Restaurant on Battleground Avenue. (Vietnamese Pho House
perhaps?), You can get a huge bowl of noodle soup, fresh herbs and veggies, and
your choice of protein for $5.95.
2.
Ghassan’s
also has great grilled chicken skewers.
3.
Boba
House on Tate Street which is vegan-friendly and most Greek places will have
vegetarian choices although you still have to be conscious of how much oil they
use in items.
4.
Lucky
32 or Liberty Oaks will also have vegetarian entrees and you can specify how you
would like something prepared.
5.
There
is a new place that has opened downtown (I believe on/right off Elm Street) but
I can’t think of what’s it’s called right now. They offer organic
local-grown veggies, etc
6.
Saffron’s
Indian Cuisine (Westover Gallery of Shops) cuisines emphasize well-prepared
veggies and rice, with a number of lighter chicken and tofu dish
options.
7.
Subway’s
veggie sub is quite healthy, tasty, and cheap for “fast-food.”
8.
Chipotle
offers vegetarian burritos.
9.
Ghassans
has a decent salad.
10.
Taste
of Thai is healthy if you stay away from the buffet.

Zaytoon’s
– Middle Eastern Vegetarian Fare – located downtown in the US Trust
