State Wins!
That much we know. The question is, which one - Ohio, or N.C. - will emerge victorious on Saturday afternoon.
I'll admit, I'm a bit stumped. Here's what's throwing me off. Yes, Ohio State is ranked in the top-10. But early-season rankings are meaningless and last week's last-second win over Marshall was hardly awe-inspiring. Then again, the Buckeyes during the Jim Tressel era have raised winning ugly to an art form.
As for the Wolfies ...
Yes, they looked impressive against Richmond, for whatever that's worth. Jay Davis was smooth in his debut, but he had at least three throws against the Spiders that might have caused trouble if a speedier defense - like Ohio State's for example - had been on the other side of the ball. And the Wolfpack defense - young and porous last year - pitched a shutout, but missed a few tackles along the way.
So you can see why I'm befuddle by this one. Which is why I turn it over to you. Who wins the N.C. State-Ohio State game?

I think the poor weather is to Ohio State's advantage. They are arger up front, and State's speed advantage is likely to be meaningless in a tropical depression.
Given not only Ohio State's tendency to win close games, but also NC State's recent history of losing close games, I think the edge goes to Ohio State.
