You wonder why State never pulled this with the Dean Dome ...
... surely there were some State grad engineers on that project, right?
I refer to the little prank that's just been noticed at the shiny new JPJ Arena at UVA.
It appears that someone - maybe one of the workers? - carved a pretty precise VT logo into the hardwood floor of the court during construction. Since it's under the glossy finish, it's safe to assume it's been there all season long.
Take comfort in this though, Wahoos. Clearly, it hasn't affected the home court advantage so far. Of course, lose tonight against the Hokies and that prank achieves legendary status.

Right now, VT is playing almost perfect basketball, after a shaky start. Maybe they just saw the logo!
On another subject, I really enjoyed the article by Jim Y. on the Duke-Maryland game.As usual, a very interesting analysis that helps folks like me understand college basketball.( Coach K's comments were also helpful)
