Kandy Kahne

The ladies love Kasey Kahne, according to this AP story. (I had the pleasure of cutting the heck out of the original story, which is linked above, to make the version that ran in today's N&R, which isn't posted.)

Among voters in Fox's Sexiest Driver poll, eh, Kahne isn't so hot. He lost in the quarterfinals to this guy.

Your finalists? Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon.

Hold me while I faint from the shock of it all.

The Sexiest Driver poll has to be the worst gimmick I've ever seen for NASCAR. I can't wait for NBC. Only two more races.

Can we not get back to judging drivers by how they drive and not what they look like. You would have never seen NASCAR do this back when the King was racing, probably because their wasn’t any good looking drivers. Sexiest driver what about like most improved driver in the season or most talented. I got an idea NASCAR get back to racing and quit trying to make the sport popular, trust me it speaks for its self.

Oh, please. If we were talking about women's tennis, you all would be casting votes every two minutes - or at least checking out the contestants that frequently! You boys be quiet and let us ladies have our fun! (By the way, I vote for Mike W. and Kyle P.)

We men are sure a bunch of hypocrites, right, Maggie?

That said, I hope Danica Patrick actually wins a race soon. My guess is that she's flattered by the attention but would actually like to prove to the world that she's racing because she's good, not because she's some sort of marketing gimmick.

Same goes for Erin Crocker, Allison Duncan and Sarah Fisher, who are all racing in the minor leagues right now in hopes of getting a Cup ride.

Danica has the goods to win. She is definitely a racer, regardless of looks. Erin Crocker is too.
