I'm tired of ...

* Seeing Hendrick and Roush drivers in Victory Lane. After Greg Biffle won today's race at Dover, that's 11 Hendrick/Roush wins in 13 races this year. Enough already.

* Watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. stink out loud. Being the first car three laps down at Dover is nothing to brag about. And after coming home today 22nd (!), Junior is 15th in points and 18 points on the wrong side of the cutoff for the Chase.

* Burnouts. It's cliche, guys. So, too, is jumping up on the car window and spraying your pit crew with whatever drink you sponsor.

* Kyle Petty not winning a race. He hasn't seen Victory Lane since the spring race at Dover ... in 1995. Is a ninth career win too much to ask for?

* Carl Long not finishing a race. Just once, I'd like to see the Official Field Filler of The Spotter get a decent set of wheels so he can show what he can do.

What else are y'all tired of? Or is it just me? Maybe all of those long green flag runs today did something to my mood.

I'm soaking up the Roush dominance, being a Roush fan. It doesn't bother me one bit ;)

I'm sick of hearing about Dale Jr., period.

Carl Edwards needs to win more often.

Kyle Petty will not win again. Sorry.

I'm with Tony Stewart 100 percent. Jeff, Jimmie, Newman, they aren't familiar with the concept of 500 miles. Jeff forgot it, I guess. Maybe Brooke took his patience in the settlement. I thought today was one of the better races of the year.

I'm tired of no respect for the Busch brothers. When one is the defending champ and the other is one of the hottest drivers on the circuit, I want to read about it. But, alas, we aren't.

I never thought Kyle would win a race even when he was on "0" wins. Then Dale took out Darrell at the old Richmond track and who was sputtering along in 3rd? That race cost me a lunch.

Little E is trying my patience as well.

Actually the whole thing is trying my patience.

What got me thinking is when Mark Martin said that the newer drivers lack respect for the sport, and if they had to fix their own cars like he did coming up the races would be a lot different. Quite a bit of truth in that statement.

Of course I was a little disapointed when I heard that he would also give Shane Hmiel another chance.

Mark: Were you betting against Kyle Petty winning a race? If so, you're lucky you lost only a lunch. Me, I might have been tempted to bet my house.

Matt: NASCAR.com has responded to your plea for more Busch coverage with a Kyle Busch column: "Busch will get [a win] before the leaves change colors this fall."

I think Kyle has won over Ryan Smithson. As for Kurt, he could win three more Cup championships and people would still say, "Eh, but he's no Jeff Gordon." There's just something about him -- and I can't quite figure it out -- that people can't get their arms around. Maybe he'd help his cause if he would stop spinning himself out a lap or two into a race.

Why doesn't Nascar put a stop to these ridiculous burn-outs at the end of races like they did with drivers standing on top of cars. These antics change the profile of the cars more than a 140lb pip squeak standing on top ever did. It seems to me that someone like Biffle who dominated the race the way he did could possibly hide something by backing his car in the wall so inspectors could not adequately do their jobs after the race was over. But the sport is sponsor driven and the biggest sponsors always get their way especially at Lowes Motor Speedway. If you don't believe me just look at past results and how some of them came about

Go back to the cave you came from. Backing the car into the fence on purpose? Come on. We don't need any conspiracy theorists here. But I would expect as much from a UNC fan.

Play nice, Matt. If we scare away all the Carolina fans, it'll just be you, me and Mark lurking around here. Besides, we need someone to pick on. ;)

But I'm with you, Matt, on the burnouts. If Greg Biffle wants to trash his car after the race, fine by me. He just goofed up by trying to do doughnuts on one of the narrowest tracks on the circuit.

As for heelsluva's point about LMS, I'm sure the Lowe's folks are pleased as heck to see Johnson win. But he's been the dominant driver at the 600 the past three years. He earned those wins -- especially this last one.

That said, I root like heck for Tony Stewart every time they race in Charlotte.

Mark said:

I don't know why the engine department likes these burnouts anyway. Plus I'm curious if Biffle is in the bodyshop helping with the rear on this week's car. If I go on the assumption it was a concrete car I guess it's not needed again until Bristol at the end of August.

I'm fine with the reverse victory lap holding the checkered flag.

Leave the burnouts to the professionals, ie John Force and the Pedregon brothers.

Engine departments turn out engines so fast, there is no point in saving one.
