I stepped outside for a moment and saw a white truck with a red Dale Jr. No. 8 license plate heading the wrong way on the one-way street in front of the building.

It wasn't a Guilford County Schools vehicle was it? Those people on Eugene Street think they can do anything.

Nah, it was Skip Alston driving a county vehicle. He was running from an angry mob of taxpayers! Y'all didn't know Skippy is a Jr. fan did ya??? He is...Yep, he and Billy Yow are gonna go to some races together this year. They can afford it now that they are making the big bucks since their 41%raise!

Actually Mr. Yow may be a Bobby Labonte fan. You may not be aware of this but during "T-Shirtgate in 2004" several Yow supporters were at the Commissioners' meeting wearing #18 shirts.
I was at this meeting in support of an unrelated matter.

Hermie, I almost forgot, I can only hope that Skip is in the #8. The way that car has been falling apart lately that angry mob of taxpayers will catch him.

Sorry, fellas. It wasn't Skip. Or Keith Holliday. Or Terry Grier. Or any other public official -- just some poor schlub who couldn't figure out the downtown streets.
You'd be amazed at home many people try to head westbound on this eastbound stretch of E. Market. It's not like this place is NYC or even Richmond.

John, thank you for using the word "schlub" in a sentence, your site might be more educational than the Chalkboard.
Now should I put "schlub" in MS-Word and see if it passes spellcheck?
