A points race, perhaps?
With two to races to go, the points race looks like this:
1. Tony Stewart
2. Jimmie Johnson, -38 points
3. Carl Edwards, -77
4. Greg Biffle, -122
5. Mark Martin, -123
6. Matt Kenseth, -135
It's still Stewart's points race to lose, and you know he was the unhappiest guy in the state of Texas today when Johnson passed him late in the race AND Carl Edwards got smaller and smaller out his windshield.
Watch that Carl Edwards. He's a-comin'.
Did you see how many people were cheering his win today? Next to maybe Mark Martin, Edwards *might* be the most popular driver in the chase. (Lots of people like Stewart, too, but a lot of people can't stand him.)
So what did you think of the race? Did the last 20 or so laps make up for an unspectacular first 300?

It was back to our regularly scheduled programming with the 24 getting lapped and whining over the radio.

Speaking of lapped cars, it is interesting how the 11 car is suddenly way better than the 18 car.
When does B Lab announce his plans for next year?
At one point in the race you had 3 past champions battling it out for maybe 33rd??

The race was even more boring in person. Round and round they go. Should have brought a radio to hear the PRN broadcasters make it sound exciting.
Last few laps were great...on tv. We left with 80 to go, opting for a 15 minute ride home instead of a 3-hour one.
Carl Edwards. Whats not to like? He's personable and positive. And with 2 to go and 77 points down, wow! Stewart better finish better than the 33rd he did in the spring.
