Yeah, me. It's Ward Burton. 2002 Daytona 500 champion? Yeah, that Ward Burton.
Anyway, I'm tired of not racing, and I want to get back on the track. Yeah, I know I'm about 25 years too old to get a look from an owner. But I've got five career wins and this crazy South Boston accent that the fans dig.
C'mon, NASCAR. What say you give me another shot?

I agree, Ward has been the odd man out far too long. At this point I tend to believe he has given up trying for a ride and has retired in a stealth-like manner.
But I do have a suggest for NASCAR, Goodyear and Ward.
Put Ward on the payroll of both NASCAR and Goodyear. Under the contract of NASCAR he could assist in the development of the CoT.
Under GY's contract he would conduct tire tests completly independent of current teams and drivers and prevent the "selected few" from gaining any possible advantage.
