Weekend aftermath
A wild one. Let's recap:
Tony Stewart: Someone's going to die.
Jeff Burton: Y'all are slow. (No, I didn't see that one coming. Did you?)
Denny Hamlin: Follow my yellow stripe. No wonder Dustin has him in his top 10 drivers for 2006.

Apparently Carl Edwards drank a quart of the NASCAR Kool-Aid right after the race. The strange thing is I agree with his pre-trailer meeting assessment.
I think Chad Knaus may open the season with a heft suspension. He may have pushed the envelope one too many times.
And Stewart is probably right; like Mikey started preaching last year just take the extra bracing out of the front bumper and the bump drafting will stop. By the way I was surprised to see Mikey get up to the front in the 2nd session before his pit stop.

Tell you the truth, Mark, I was expecting a nice quiet start to the 2006 season. Little did I know 2006 was going to start the same way '05 ended - wiiiiiide open.
Speaking of Edwards, read down to the end of the Hamlin/Bud Shootout story I linked to above. Seems like Edwards found some leftover Kurt Busch somewhere in the Roush garage.
