Best crew chief
We always seem to talk about drivers, but never crew chiefs. So here's a question: If you could pick any crew chief for your own racin' team, who would it be?
In other words, who's the best active crew chief? The best of all time?

I'm familiar only with the modern era so I'll speak to that.
Currently: Greg Zipadelli for Tony Stewart. Stewart along with Greg's incredible car setups is a factor to win every race and as a result has won two championships in this milennium.
Best of the Modern Era: Hands down, Ray Everham when he was Jeff G's crew chief. In 1999 when Ray left in mid-season and Loomis took over, Jeff won the next two races on Ray's race track setups. In my opinion, Ray was a legendary crew chief.

Currently, it would have to be Zippy. I think Robby Reiser has to be in the conversation as well. The most underrated would be Kenny Francis, a guy you never hear of but is well on his way to putting a driver in the Chase in three years. Of all time certaily Evernham is at the top and you can't overlook Dale Inman. Of course I'd also say Larry Mac should be on the list. No telling what could have happened had Davey lived, or even if Ernie hadn't gotten hurt.

I concur with Everham over the past 25 years and Zippy as the current best.
