Best owner
Another non-driver question: If you could drive for any owner out there - and I'm opening it up to IRL, Champ, F1, whatever - who would it be?
In NASCAR, Roush and Hendrick are obvious choices because they have good people, good stuff and they win a lot of races. But Kurt Busch and Brian Vickers thought they would be better off elsewhere, so maybe Roush and Hendrick aren't so obvious choices.
And, obviously, one person's Best Owner of All Time is another person's I'd Kill Myself Before Working for That Owner.
So who would you want to drive for?

John: prepare to be shocked. I'd most want to drive for Joe Gibbs. I would say Roush of course, but that pool is so deep no one is getting in there that won't have to wait in line. Outside of Roush, Gibbs would be my choice. The chance to have Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin as teammates would be awesome and from what I've seen, Gibbs gives he drivers every chance in the world to succeed.

Well you know my feelings about a certain car owner whose a pardoned _______. No chance in hades I'd consider driving for him.
I've always been partial to Ray Everham. Sure, he hasn't hit any homeruns since he's become an owner but this Kahne guy appears to be coming into his own. However, I'm surprised Ray hasn't canned Mayfield. Ray needs to give Mayfield an ultimatum to produce results are get out and give me the ride.

NEWS RELEASE on NASCAR.com.
UPS TO FOLLOW JARRETT TO TOYOTA.
Just as I predicted a while back.

I agree with you on Everham as an owner, he may have learned all of the good qualities from his former boss and he has stayed out of the car dealer business.
I sure Bill Elliott regrets retiring from full time driving when he did because the 9 car was coming on at the end of that season.
Does your crystal ball show any wins for the Big Brown Truck as a Toyota? Or a NAPA Toyota qualifying for all of the races next year?

Jarrett, at this point in his career, ain't worth two cents as a driver. He qualified I believe 41st for tomorrow's race. Toyota won't win with Jarrett behind the wheel.
However, Toyota got UPS as a sponsor, knowing full well that Jarett'll probably be gone by the end of next season as a driver, and UPS will more than likely remain in the stable, plus they do have the knowledge of a veteran driver who can assist in setting up an infant program as they will have with Mikey.

Jon, you're completely wrong. Jarrett is worth a whole lot as a driver. Its not his fault Yates sucks this year. He may or may not win but rest assured he'll stay in Mikey's Camry as long as he wants.

John, I'd want to drive for Roger Penske, without a doubt. Why? I'm an open-wheel guy and his team gives you the best shot at winning Indy.

Interesting that no one said Hendrick. He apparently pays well, attracts good talent and gives his drivers good cars. What's not to like? Except maybe for his (now expunged) criminal record.

John,
BINGO
Some, especially me, are principled when it comes to employment opportunities.
One employmen rule I have: don't work for f______s even though 42 pardoned him or the Baby Jesus forgave him of his transgression(s).
