I mentioned my pick to Dustin, who I think is the only person who thinks Hamlin could win it. And Dustin reminded me that Hamlin finished second.
Lots to talk about. Is Jimmie Johnson doomed? What about Kyle Busch? Is the Chase over?

Doomed, if history is any indication. Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Jeremy Mayfield in 2004 and Kurt Busch in '05 all started with similar results at NHIS and never recovered. That's a 100% historical record of failure.
It's possible, but not probable. It's like a 4th place baseball team in early Sept, they have to hope three fail not just one in first place.
With Kasey Kahne to follow shortly.
J.J. and Kyle have to hope 8 others consistently fail to finish well.
For the record I've X'd them both out of contention with a table reserved at the "Also-Ran Cafe."
