I hope he's happy
You know who I'm talking about.
If there's karma in this world, his trophy will slide off the shelf and break into a million pieces.
P.S. At least Earnhardt Jr. didn't whine about his misfortune like some other Hendrick drivers.
You've got to wonder what's going on in the Hendrick camp when Kyle Busch is the most likeable of that organization's four drivers.

It didn't look intentional from my perspective. I don't blame you for being mad though.

I'm absolutely livid. And I will refrain from stating my many negative opinions of certain drivers in yesterday's race. Pfft!
On a more positive note, Tony Eury Jr. and Dale Jr. both had such a positive frame of mind and I was totally awe struck by Dale Jr.'s post race interview. He said nothing but good things and that includes comments about "Mr. Impatient, I wanna win my first Dega race".

Earnhardt was blocking as the leader at 'dega usually does in the last laps, which upset Johnson's momentum to pass as well Vicker's who unintentionally ran into Johnson as a result. It's racing.
Those Hendrick team meetings that excluded Brian must not be worth much because he was driving one fast car.

It didn't seem intentional to me.
Of the three drivers involved only one was warned about the bump-drafting. I will say that I was impressed with little E's poise afterwards.

I doubt Vickers' hit was intentional, too. To paraphrase Chad Knaus (and I can't believe I'm agreeing with him), Vickers just ran out of talent.
And where is this Earnhardt block everyone keeps talking about? Johnson was almost even with Earnhardt's door when Vickers put his nose in JJ's car. It looked like Junior was letting him by, for cryin' out loud.

Sure looked like to me that Jr. was weaving back and forth and just possibly caused Johnson to let up a little. Nothing wrong with that but sometimes the consequences turn out to be other than planned for.
Knaus' comment is that of an idiot in light of the fact that Hendricks Motorsports trained Vickers. Knaus must have forgot about some of Johnson's "mishaps" on the supers when he wrecked other drivers and caused controversy. Talent wasn't an issue when Johnson did it.
Anyway, someone else got in the victory circle at 'dega besides the usual handful and that was good.

I don’t think it was intentional, myself. Why would anyone really want a victory like that? He knows he needs his fans and sponsorship and being among NASCAR’s most hated isn’t the way to go about that. I though Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s response was very mature. Too bad his fans can’t take a lesson or two from him.

One of the more surprising things about this whole episode is the responses - Johnson was hacked, and Junior was like, Eh, it was one-ove-them racin' deals.
I'm not sure it was maturity or shock or disappointment or what. I was expecting something ... else.
Or maybe Junior was thinking about his birthday. He turned Travis Kvapil-years-old today.

Call it what you want. What Vickers did was hardly on purpose. It is typical restrictor plate racing. Of which I am a huge fan of for the obvious reasons. I cannot stand HMS or any of their drivers. But what happened was an error in judgement on Vickers part. But what driver hasn't made one of those bad judegment during a race at a restrictor plate track. What irks me are the comments by Johnson and Knaus. Give me a break. I guess Johnson forgot about the wreck he caused earlier in the race when he couldnt check up in time to keep from getting into Edwards. Funny thing is, Edwards seemed to be able to check up to keep from spinning out Nemecheck but as usual Johnson just couldnt manage to do so. If anyone has paid attention the last few years, Johnson has seemed to cause quite a few wrecks at restrictor plate tracks. But he doesnt seem to take credit for causing those wrecks. It always seems to be someone elses fault. And of course when he does cause a wreck he "hates it for the other teams" blah blah blah. As for what Knaus said about vickers having no talent? Please, this coming from a guy who cheated at the beginning of the year at Daytona? The fact that johnson won that race proves that Knaus didn't even need to push the grey line of the nascar rules. SO what spews from his mouth is not worth much in my opinion. BRIAN VICKERS CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST NASCAR WIN.
