I spoke too soon
No, Greg Biffle's dustup at Vegas last week wasn't the last wreck of 2006.
Jimmie Johnson decided to one-up him Friday and broke his left wrist after he fell out of a golf cart. The company line is that the wrist needs four weeks to heal and he'll be fine for Daytona.
If there's any good news for JJ fans, it's this: He was a passenger. Can you imagine the amount of grief he would get if he had been driving?
Update: The first version of the story used the wrong prepositions. It turns out that JJ wasn't in the golf cart -- he was on it. And he didn't fall out of the cart -- he fell off of it. AP has the story.

That's our Nextel Cup Champion... a weak-wristed liar.

Maybe he should have drove around the course 400 times before he got on top of the cart! You know, doing what he knows...or maybe the cart got a push from Vickers because he was on the same course and wanted to help J.J. to the next hole and the media did not tell that part of the story!! Bonehead!

I don't believe Jimmie intentionally lied. His public relations people probably just reported it incorrectly.
Yes that's our NASCAR champion and deservedly so.
Just sour grapes.
